F A Q's

1.  How often can I use the land?

Dues entitle B BAR L Members  to unlimited  personal use of all club properties unless you have an Associate Membership or Private Group Lease.  Associate Memberships limits you to 5 days of hunting and the Private Group Lease will allow you to hunt your private lease only.

2.  Can I take guests?

All active members are permitted to take an unlimited number of their dependents (spouse and dependent children) to club land with unlimited number of days.  Dependents must always be accompanied by a member.  Non-dependent guests may visit club land for a maximum of three days in any 12-month period for $50 /$35 per day.  A maximum of 3  non-dependent guests may be included on any reservation, except those for firearms for  deer and turkey hunting, when only one guest per reservation is permitted.  Members are allowed to take guests any time, for any type of hunting, including season openers.

3.  How will I be sure I am the only hunter on the land?

Land can only be visited if reserved.  Our online system allows members to reserve properties and once reserved other members may not reserve that particular piece of land.   When you make your reservation, you will be assured of the exclusive use of your choice of land for the day.  Members are allowed to reserve upland bird and waterfowl hunting land as many as 30 days in advance.  Turkey hunting land may be reserved 30 days in advance.  All deer seasons reservations begin September 1st  of every year.

4.  Does the club's reservation system work like a time-share?

No. You are not confined to one area at one pre-selected time.  Think of the reservation system like reserving a hotel.  Unlimited reservations on any farm (within the Club’s rules).  Our state-of-the-art online reservation system is available 24/7/365 from any computer that has access to the internet, all you have to have is your user ID and password.  If you do not have access to a computer at the time you are welcome to call us and make a reservation by telephone anytime Monday – Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM Central Time by calling our office 888.842.0003.

5.  Is there seniority or are there preferred members in the club?

No.  Every member has the same equal rights to reserve land either by telephone or by use of our state-of-the-art reservation system, on a first-come, first-served basis.  B BAR L's Charter Members are the only voting members of the club though.

6.   Can someone reserve a hot property now, for the peak seasons before I join?

No.  The reservation system has time window restrictions and can be further customized by the club manager for specific hunting season data.

7. Will other members be on the same property or section that I reserve?

No.  It is yours exclusively in your reservation.  Other members may join your reservation only with your prior permission.  It is common for members to become friends and start hunting together.

8. How many days can I reserve the same farm for deer gun season?

As many days as you want (not to exceed 7 days), but only if you will be hunting on the reserved property all of those days.  If you limit out or decide not to hunt on the property on any day that you had it reserved, you are expected to call the office and free up the property for other members to hunt.

9. How will I know if there is any game on a particular farm?

Harvest reports — available only to members — are an invaluable resource.  These reports allow savvy hunters  to pick the best farms available for the type of game they pursue — and prevent disappointing trips to inappropriate land.  After using club land, all members are required to report within two days the amount and type of game observed and harvested, as well as the condition of the property.  Our most successful hunters use the reports extensively and are rarely disappointed with their land selection.

10. What if there is an emergency while I am hunting?

As with any type of outdoor activity, let someone know where you are going, what you are doing and what time you will return.  If emergency services are needed dial 911 or call the local authorities.  Always, remember, we are here for you...call us anytime! 888.842.0003

11. What will I get for referring other people to the club?

The club rewards its goodwill ambassadors by providing fully paid, non-cancellable membership to every member that sponsors 10 new regular members.  THAT’S RIGHT – You can hunt on B BAR L's land free for the rest of your life.  Plus, you could sell your equity membership, recover your initial investment and STILL HUNT FOR FREE!  Just bring 10 new regular members to the club.

12. I understand that B  BAR L  will always have  100-200 acres per member, am I restricted to that 100-200 acres?

No, the 100-200 acres is a minimum average acreage standard the club has set to ensure there is enough land available for all members even if every single member happened to make a reservation on the exact same day (which has never happened).  If there ever is a case where a property that you wanted was already reserved for the day you would be able to find a comparable piece of land in a driving range that you specify.

13. Will I see the land owner?

It is possible.  We typically lease recreation rights to working farmland.  The landowner makes a living from his land and has to work it at his schedule.  Use it to your advantage!  A landowner can sometimes tell you the best place to set up to hunt and possibly where and when the animals travel on different pieces of land.  Always respect the landowners rights and property.  Remember, you are representing the Club while you are using that property.

14. Can club rules be changed after I join?

Yes, BUT rules can only be changed by a majority of voting members.  If you join a club knowing the rules are compatible with your plans and needs, it would be very unfair to you if the rules could be changed by a unilateral management decision without your participation in the vote.  B BAR L will always yield it's rule making power to the members and take a position that whatever the majority of members want, they shall have.  Only members can make and change rules, management is responsible for enforcing compliance of the rules voted in by members, and sets the prices to compensate for the financial impact rule changes have on club finances.

15. Do I qualify for a membership in B BAR L Hunting Club?

Maybe, B BAR L  will not accept any person for membership if; they are a convicted felon, they have been found guilty of serious or multiple wildlife violations, they are not a safe, ethical hunter.  The member, not his money, is our first concern!  Our  screening process protects you from being in a club with unsavory characters.

16. Is the land in Quality Deer Management?

Most of our members practice Quality Deer Management, some of our farms may even have restrictions on size of deer.  We do however support a first time hunter in the decision to harvest smaller game than experienced hunters would harvest, we want youth and first-timers to have a good time and be excited about hunting. Everyone has to start somewhere!

17. Can I see the land before I join?

Sure you may.  We can show you two different ways.  We can take an on-line tour and show you every single piece of property or we can give you directions and you may drive  by and take a look.
